Generators

Passwords, QR codes, random numbers, placeholder text. Generated on your device with the browser's own random number source, so nothing is stored or shared.

Generators produce something you need right now: a strong password, a QR code for a Wi-Fi network, a random number for a draw, a few paragraphs of placeholder text for a layout. Passwords and random numbers use the cryptographic random source of your browser, not a predictable formula, and they are created on your device only. The site keeps no history of what was generated. QR codes can be downloaded as PNG or SVG and work with any camera app; the encoder runs in your browser, so the content of the code is never sent to us. The passphrase mode uses a public English word list and says so, since a memorable phrase in English is still strong in any locale. Placeholder text is available in the classic Latin form with options for length and wrapping in paragraphs. Each generator states its limits on the page, such as the maximum length or count.

Common questions

Are generated passwords stored or sent anywhere?

No. Passwords are generated in your browser with the cryptographic random number generator provided by the browser itself. Nothing is logged, and the site has no server that could receive them. Copy the password into your password manager and close the tab.

Will a QR code made here keep working later?

Yes. The QR code contains the text or link you typed, nothing else. It does not point to this site and does not depend on it. Anyone with a camera app can read it years from now, as long as the link inside it still works.
