Split PDF

Keep the pages you need or divide a document into separate PDFs.

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

One PDF up to 50 MB and 500 pages. Up to 20 output files, 500 pages and 100 MB combined.

Password-protected PDFs and interactive forms are not supported. Bookmarks and digital signatures are not preserved. Check the downloaded files before sharing.

Check the selected filename, then enter the page groups below.

1-3,5 makes one PDF. 1-3;4-6 makes two PDFs. Numbers start at 1; the order you enter is preserved.

You do not always need to send a whole document. Extract a chapter from a report, separate an invoice from a bundle, or put selected pages in a new order. Choose one PDF and enter the page numbers you want. Commas keep selections together; semicolons create separate files. The browser copies the requested pages locally, leaving your original file untouched. Review each downloaded result before sharing it, especially when the source contains confidential information.

      How to use

      1. Choose one PDF file from your device.
      2. Enter a selection such as 1-3,5, or separate groups with a semicolon.
      3. Choose Create PDF and wait for the local processing to finish.
      4. Download each numbered PDF and check that it contains the intended pages.

      What it handles

      • Use 1-3,5 for one file containing pages one, two, three and five.
      • Use 1-3;4-6 to create two independently downloadable PDF files.
      • Keep custom page order and explicit duplicates, such as 3,1,1.
      • Create up to 20 files with a combined maximum of 500 output pages and 100 MB.

      FAQ

Does extracting pages permanently remove sensitive data?

No. This tool creates new PDFs from selected pages; it is not a redaction or sanitization tool. Selected pages may still contain annotations, links or other embedded information. For sensitive documents, use a dedicated redaction workflow and inspect the result before distributing it.

Which page numbers should I enter?

Use the position of each page in the PDF, starting at one, rather than a printed chapter number or a Roman numeral on the page. A cover counts as page one. Enter 1-3,5 to keep a selection together, or 1-3;4-6 for separate outputs. Repeated numbers produce repeated pages, and your entered order is preserved.

How many separate files can I create at once?

You can make up to twenty groups from one PDF. The source must be no larger than 50 MB, and all generated files together must stay within 100 MB and 500 pages. A page selected twice counts twice toward that page limit. If processing stalls, Clear cancels the job; try a smaller selection and create the remaining groups afterwards.
